ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY STATEMENT
The Packaging Waste Regulations work on the principle of Shared Producer Responsibility - encouraging producers to take responsibility for their environmental impact. The Regulations require obligated producers to pay a proportion of the cost of the recovery and recycling of their packaging. Harry Yearsley Ltd is a member of Valpak who are a not-for-profit organization. With the help of Valpak we aim to reduce any waste we can and where possible recycle any waste we do produce.

Yearsley Group looks upon the promotion of Good Environmental Practice as a mutual objective for both management and employees.
It is our policy to do all that is reasonably practicable to ensure we comply with all relevant environmental legislation and Codes of Practice; minimizing any risks to the public in so far as they come into contact with Yearsley Group or its food related activities.
In particular, Yearsley Group recognizes its responsibilities to:
1. Minimize energy consumption and emissions.
2. Minimize waste and recycle wherever possible.
3. Protect the natural environment.
4. Train and supervise staff to ensure they act with due consideration for the environment.
5. Ensure contractors / visitors meet the same standards of environmental care
as the company itself;
6. Assess the environmental impact of any new site development. Employees of Yearsley Group must recognize their responsibilities and co-operate with the management in their effort to implement this policy by:
- Working to environmental procedures and standards set by Yearsley Group.
- Meeting their statutory requirements.
- Reporting incidents or activities that have led or may lead to poor environmental performance or possible breaches of this policy.
