January 2005 - Yearsley Group's Grand Gesture
A royal visit has led Yearsley Group to donate £1,000 to the Grace House Children’s Hospice Appeal. Princess Anne opened the new £12 million depot of the frozen food sales and cold storage company at Seaham in the North East. The official opening was performed by the Princess Royal in October. To commemorate the event, the firm made a £1,000 donation to a local charity nominated by staff. The Grace House Appeal, which is raising money to build a children’s hospice in Sunderland, was the beneficiary. Having been operational at Seaham since the Summer of 2004, Yearsley Group has won several new storage contracts. Increased business has lead to Phase 2 of the site being developed. This will be completed by April taking the storage capacity for frozen and chilled to 22,000 pallets. |
